I will learn to use the Internet. The Internet helps those who help themselves. For example, a quick trip to Brian's dBase reveals the episode title is "Hellraisers & Heartbreakers" (1.12). Next, I went to the Barnes & Noble DVD site (many such commercial sites exist (like Amazon)), found their "Las Vegas: Season One" entry; checked the "Menu", & learned that episode 1.12 (the title matched), is on DISK #3. Is it worth the rental? That's subjective ...but it's NIKKI COX!! |

| Now and then I'll look back to consider just what it was that triggered my long fascination with the bound heroine in peril.
For my part, beyond the obvious pre-pubescent appeal of Penelope Pitstop, it was if memory serves something I saw on a show called "Lift off with Ayshea", circa 1972. "Lift Off" was a brit kids show showcasing the talents of minor pop celebrity and actress, Ayshea Brough. In one of the shows I remember her dressed as a stereotypical damsel in distress while a Snidely Whiplash type ran rings around her while wrapping her up in rope, to the accompaniment of silent movie style piano music. Throughout the programme we would be taken back to our rope bound beauty to see her get wrapped up some more. I never found out what this was all leading up to because I remember my Dad turning it off, disgusted at my entrancement with what was occuring and fearing for my morality. I only remember my heart beating faster at watching her perilous envelopment at the hands of the villain. For the record "Lift Off" is gone forever, but dark haired Ayshea can be seen in most episodes of "UFO" as a SHADO operative, and bound and gagged in "As easy as A.B.C", an episode of that old ITC show "Jason King". So what did it for you guys? What was the "trigger" that got you hooked? |

| Further to my earlier post. The show in question was NOT "Lift off with Ayshea" but a show called "Little Big Time" the villain was called Sir Jasper Nastybonce, played by an actor called Kevork Malikyan who recently appeared in the "Flight of the Phoenix" remake. The girl MIGHT have been Ayshea Brough appearing as a guest star, or it's more likely to have been the shows' resident hottie Penelope Nice. But the whole torso wrapping thing is just as I remember it. |

| I just got back from watching Firewall. The previous poster forgot to mention a very good handgag scene. Mary Lynn Rajskub gets a handgag from Harrison Ford. I'm not into handgags but this one was pretty good. Very good mmmpphhing. I just thought I would let others know, because I saw a lot of handgag entries in the database. I know somebody likes them. |

In fact I even checked at 8:00 (the starting time for us guys in Central Time) and the dog show was on, and I even saw an ad for RAW for this coming Thursday. | For Uk viewers ,Hollyoaks are running a late night special on channel 4 this week ,about a serial rapist guy named Andy ,who has taken the incredibly cute nicole Hostage .Tonights episode ended with him sitting on top of her and drugging her ,it continues tomorrow night and thursday ,and i have uncovered an interesting synopsis of thursday nights episode ,at the link below.I'll put it on tape and we'll see what transpires .This is a really cute girl i'm talking about .

| Hoping to catch the scene described in the database I tape the last half hour of this soap once a week to see where they're at in the show. While re-running my tape this evening I stumbled into a scene I hadn't been aware of. A young girl wearing a red blouse, short black skirt and what looks like loafers is lying on her side on a mattress in a deserted buidling bound hand and foot. She has a white cloth over her mouth and over that duct tape. The villain is standing over her holding a belt as if he means to strangle her. Very tight close-ups of her face. I don't know who she is but she does not seem to be one of the main stars of this telenovela. There were no more shots of this scene so it should continue tomorrow. The show is part of Univisions GRAND HISTORIES series which re-runs telenovelas in the early morning hours. This one comes on a 1 am. |
