Watching Sally McMillan get the treatment on the old NBC Sunday Mystery Movie is what got me going. Early 1970's.
In particular the "Man without a Face" episode.
Also "Perils of Marie" skits from Donny & Marie show
and any "tied to the tracks" scenarios.

Watched alot of "monster movies" on Saturday afternoons/nights. Remember "The Torture Chamber of Dr. Sadism" as being one that peaked my interest in bound damsels in peril.

My earliest specific memory is probably Dale Evans on the old Roy Rogers show. Lois Lane on Superman was another one. And there was something on the Mickey Mouse Club-- Corky and White Shadow?

My earliest memory of watching a specific show for the purpose of catching a bondage scene was Honey West.

Heather Locklear in "Bloodsport." I was watching a basketball game on CBS in early 1986 when CBS aired the "Bloodsport" promo, with the voiceover saying "a terrorist plot that makes everyone expendable." At that point they showed officer Sheridan bound and gagged and being menanced with a sword.

Our family had just gotten out first VCR like 6 months earlier, so I waited for the promo to air again and recorded that to at least have the promo, then recorded the entire movie to get the scene 2 nights later. At that time, we also only had one TV in the house, so I had to convince people to watch this "Hooker" movie. I could have recorded it on the timer, but didn't trust myself and couldn't risk not recording the scene.

Just dug out the original tape to see the promo. Still in good shape. Check it out at the link (and you'll know why I got hooked on Heather).

My bondage trigger was the infamous episode of "Scooby Doo" in which Daphne is kidnapped by a witch and her zombie henchman and bound and gagged on a riverboat. This is my earliest recollection of being transfixed by the image of a bound and gagged woman on the television screen.

Innumerable kids' comic illustrations in the early 1950s, then, on somebody else's TV around 1954, a live BBC thriller with a screen-filling close-up of a gorgeous (even to a 5-year-old) woman struggling in a tight detective gag. I never knew the title or the actress's name, but that was the first moving DiD image I saw; it both scared and somehow excited me, and it's still my archetype.

It was almost certainly never filmed, and studio video was at least five years in the future. I remember the neighbours' daughter, somewhat older than the embryonic MD, also being fascinated and wanting to re-enact the scene in a game. Her bonds and gag, though, were make-believe. (Sigh).

Gloria Mundi is sic of transit.

Rififi
I saw an excellent French film last night called Du Rififi chez les hommes.(1955)I couldn't find it in the DB (although maybe it has another title although i checked the imdb and couldn't find one) it does have a very brief (and franky unremarkable) detective gag and blindfold of the concierge's wife scene, (and unfortuately the concierge)as well as a handgag scene, i think. As i say it probably isn't worth putting in the DB but if people want me to try and write it up for a sense of completeness i'll give it a go. If people do want the scene should i post it to the message board as i'm not a site member.

Like a lot of people here (I'm guessing), mine was the 60's Batman show, in particular "Catwoman's Dressed To Kill". My memories of the scenes in that show are my earliest memories of anything, even though I was too young to understand what I was feeling.

Yes, that's a classic thriller, known to British TV simply as "Rififi". The title is underworld slang for "trouble."

I think it should be in the DB for completeness's sake, as it does indeed contain a full treatment with blindfold. As noted, there is a putz, and the lady is middle-aged.

That's interesting, becase the comic and book illustrations I mentioned are among my very earliest memories.

According to those who study such things, by the age of around four, our brains have developed to a point where they reformat themselves, wiping most earlier memories and starting again from scratch.

This is presumably advantageous because we have acquired enough language to be able to discuss and begin to understand the new input. What we see, hear and feel at that specific age and over the next year or two plays a large part in determining our preferences and orientations for the rest of our lives. If seeing a tie-up scene should happen to coincide with the earliest flow of sex hormones - oops! Too late....

Lee Young-Ae Again
About three weeks ago I saw Sympathy for Lady Vengeance, a korean thriller starring the beautiful Lee Young-Ae (Dae Jang Geum): well, during the first half there is a scene where she has her hands handcuffed and tied with a rope passed around her body, plus she is wearing a white mask;
towards the end of the movie you see her only gagged with knotted nylon stocking for a few seconds.

Major ,you have your movies confused .The movie the guy is talking about is called sympathy for lady vengeance (though i thought the title was gonna be just lady vengeance )It is the last in a trilogy of thrillers by the same director, the theme ,being vengeance )
The first two movies were called Sympathy for mister vengeance (which you mentioned ),the second was Old Boy ,and the one this guy mentionted is the latest one which i'm expecting on these shores any time now.

Holyoaks
Halfway through the episode and it's not shaped up too badly.

Cute girl in red blose, black mini skirt and black calf boots. Bit of a dissapointing start as she came too in a warehouse/abandoned funfair untied but still greoggy from the drug she was force fed at the end of yesterdays epside.

After a bit though she's tied hand and foot & OTM gagged, great teasing close ups of her ties intercut with another girl elsewhere dancing then lots of mmppphhhing ad her would be rescuers were beater by the kidnapper.

Gotta go, part 2 is about to start

Hollyoaks Back from the Dead
Part 2, now aired.

At then end of pt 1 the kidnapper pulled down the gag and it remained around her nexk for the second half of the episode. She spends most of the scene in the background sat on the floor tied and sobbing.
Her would be rescuers (Her brothers) are lying not far away after the kndnapper used an iron bar to break the arm of one and the leg of another.

Towards the end he starts to untie her ankles, intent on raping her in front of the others.

Continues tomorrow.

Well i see moxx beat me to it on this one ,personally i thought it was a good if short scene primarily because the chick involved is one of the cutest on a show full of very cute chicks.Gag was a loosy black OTM ,but the actress mmmphhed well enough .I don't expect the gag will be there again tomorrow night ,it was there to prevent her warning her brothers who are now both out of commision and they are in an abandoned warehouse ,but one never knows .Anyhow major ,i have the episode on tape if you want give me a tinkle.
All in all though Hollyoaks should be commended, for a lame show it has racked up the scenes over the years .

Right here goes:

Title: Du Rififi chez les hommes (1955)

Medium: Movie

Actress: unknowns

French noir thriller also known as just Rififi. Around 43 minutes in the concierge's wife (don't know the actresses name, sorry she's a middle age woman with dark hair) answers the door where she has a cloth shoved in her face. It then cuts to a shot from a window where she and the concierge can be seen with black cloth blidfolds and OTM gags. A few minutes later and they are inside the flat where they are both tied to chairs i think she lets out a little mmmph and one of the robbers puts a pillow behind her head.

Also later on (about 1 hour 21 mins in) one of the robbers is ambushed in his house by a rival gang and his wife/girlfriend (again don't know the actress but she's a fairly pretty brunette) has a brief handgag.

Thats about it as i said its a very good film but the scenes aren't great. Sorry i can't give the actresses names but the credits doesn't have who plays which character. Feel free to edit it or not post it to the DB its your call just thought i'd put it up so its there if you want it.

For me it was Heather Locklear in T.J. Hooker. I don't recall the episode title, but it was the one where she was about to get chomped by a cobra. That was back when that episode first aired back in the early 80's, so I was a very young lad! But I remember seeing it as if it happened yesterday.

Oh don't get me wrong i liked it, the girl was really cute and i thought the first part was fantastic, but i just would have liked her to remain gagged that little bit longer, if only so we could have seen more of her big brown pleading eyes( I must add though I don't like the implication of where it's going)

And yes, Hollyoaks has to rank of one of the best rubbish shows in the UK.

We have two of the same triggers, "Psychic" ep. of Starsky & Hutch and Bionic Watermelon. I distinctly remember already being somewhat of an afficianado prior to seeing Toni Tennille because I was impressed by her acting in the scene. Crazy. Don't know how old I would have been at the time, I'm a couple years short of 40 now. Batman episodes where they were tied intrigued me as well, but it was the damsel in distress that got me going. I find trying to figure out the roots of this affinity very interesting and what the differences are, if any, for the girls.

Hmmm, not bad, if horribly violent, albeit not to the damsel. Good rope, gag could have been tighter, but at least it didn't slip, and she mmmphed long and loud. Even a bit of sobbing and nostril flaring!

I note that, for a soap set in Chester, there's hardly any trace of a local accent; most are from the South-East. Wallyoaks, I call it.

I just lost every dang thing...
My just over a year old external hard drive... died, and took everything with it except some stills. All the stuff I had slowly acquired on WinMX from jerks who Ignore you just as you get to the front of the queue, if they happen to spot you. All the stuff you folks were kind enough to share with me. My precious clip I made myself of the girl from Lexx, enjoying her bondage in "Knocking On Heaven's Door", which I shared with the few here who were interested. All gone.

I was in the process of backing up stuff at the time. This was a big deal since my CD burner has two settings... "make coaster" and "take over an hour and a half per CD". But I hadn't gotten to that stuff yet.

Now the drive just clicks when I power it and the computer does not even recognize it is there. No way I could afford to pay even $100 for a recovery, let alone the thousands they charge. I am in the process of trying to get on disability and am living on the last of my still-able-to-work savings. I had to scrimp for a month before I could justify buying the stack of blank CDs that now have no real use.

Don't make the mistake I did. Even if it take six hours to burn a CD on your antiquated gear, back it up. If it is on your HD, it needs to be burned onto something. And don't buy a Fantom drive, they don't feed above USB 1 speeds even if you have a USB2 card... and their Tech Support doesn't answer emails. If they had answered my "just started clicking sometimes" email, I'd have known to pull the most vital stuff pronto while it still worked.

Hope you have had a better week.
