I was going to say Seymour in Memories of Midnight, but checking the dates, I don't think she actually hit 40 till after it was completed. Still, in either role, for a more "mature" DID, Jane reigns supreme IMHO.

Hate to get our hopes up even further, but promos for next week look pretty good. Veronica is caught using a fake name snooping in a biker bar and is exposed by a female. Later, her ex-boyfriend is shown tied to a table in a back room with hooded goons threatening him. Possibly they lead in a B&G Veronica to get what they want from him?

I do remember in the first story Sapphire got trapped in a doll house (?) I think as Cromwellian soldiers came in due to the influence of a nursery rhyme (here comes a chopper to chop off your head) and as she was sitting in the chair they approached her - one holding a coil of thick rope!

That was a cushion over the crotsch moment for a gibbering twelve year old - but alas - nothing came of it!

And not far behind Jane Seymour would be Cheryl Ladd (One West Waikiki "Manpower") and Stefanie Powers (Hart to Hart).

The James Bond "Live and Let Die" featured Jane Seymour with hands tied behind and Roger Moore with hands tied in front.

Also, I think the case also applied to Teri Hatcher and that douchebag that played Jimmy Olson on "Lois & Clark: the New Adventures of Superman" episode "the Dad who came in from the cold" (which contains one of my favorite Hatcher B & G moments BTW).

What Source Material if done properly would give us happy smiles!
I was pondering and thought about all the untapped gems out there that would make the majority of us quiver and possibly collapse if they were done properly.

I mean there are bound to be novels and comics and video games that would have so much potential as to be absolute classice - if done properly.

About ten years ago I read 'Let's go play at the Adams' (after having circled it in my local bookshop about three hundred times thinking that if I bought it people would know and in a scene reminiscant of Kaufman's Invasion of the Bodysnatchers' would point and screech') - and I must admit the constant and varied bondage that the lead character goes through did appeal - the ending however was nasty and it haunted me for a long while!

I wonder though is there anything else that could be a potential goldmine for us hardy few if it was filmed by a sympathetic director and starring an equally sympathetic actress?

Maybe--But UPN has the clip where Veronica is caught lying about her name on their website as 'the first five minutes' of next week's episode. After the woman says she's really Veronica Mars, biker guy says something like 'you have one minute to explain yourself..' I'm guessing she talks her way out of the situation.

I can't believe no one has tried to film this yet. If I had the money I'd buy the rights and film it myself.
But who would be the female lead? I'm sure the studio execs, as well as most Brian's pagers, would pick Jessica Biel, Lindsey Lohan, or Jessica Alba.
Me, I prefer the older actresses so I'd go with Kim Cattrall.

Unfortunately, the VHS tape seems to have gotten chewed up a bit by the machine - performing 'surgery' currently ....

What happened to that DinD quiz? It was neat because the answers were the DinD's name plus a B&G shot (Kim Lankford, Ally Sheedy, etc) and the pictures came up when you Google'd the actress' name and clicked on 'Images'.

Lumley's very, very sexy in that Class Act episode, but another (embarrassing) favourite of mine is Joan Collins in Dynasty: The Reunion. I don't recall exactly how old she was but she must have been pushing 60 at least. Still it's one of the most surprisingly frenzied and active performances I can recall in a Tv movie.

Another candidate would be Carol Alt in Amazon ("The White Witch").

Holly Hunter may emerge as another front-runner, based on the trailers posted on the Discussion forum a few weeks ago for an upcoming movie (was it "The Big Whale"?).

GENERAL HOSPITAL-TODAY
At the beginning of today's episode Sam is in Handcuffs and struggling with police. Several long shots of her handcuffed while arrested and at the station.

I believe the episode you're alluding to is entitled "Lap Dance", and guest stars Donna Scott, who plays the wily and conniving Tamara Van Zandt, the vixen who's always trying to outsmart the detectives. She wound up outsmarted in this episode, and was discovered by them bound and gagged to a bed. Does this sound like the episode whose clip you viewed?

Re: Best Over 40 DID b&g
ANNETTE O'TOOLE!

-------
Record number: 3189

Title: The Huntress
Medium: TV Series
Actress: Annette O'Toole

Description: Episode: "Kidnapped" (1.7)

About 18 minutes into the episode Ms. O'Toole is hand gagged and knocked unconscience. She wakes up lying in the back seat of a car with hands cuffed behind her. She is pulled out and next we see her lying on her side inside for a short scene. There are several scenes over the next 20 minutes with her sitting on a bed with one wrist handcuffed to a brass headboard. After she wins a scuffle with the bad girl and shoots off the handcuff, she runs downstairs to greet the bad guys at the door. Next, she is again lying on the floor with her hands cuffed behind her, but this time she is cleave-gagged with a black cloth (over her hair and knotted in front for a nice touch). She is brought before the gang and ungagged (they leave the gag hanging around her neck). They talk for awhile then they start to take the cuffs off (you see the cuffs so you can tell she was actually wearing them and not just pretending) but only one wrist is undone before the daughter shows up at the door so Ms. O'Toole is sat in a chair with the one wrist cuffed to the backing. The gag is retied on screen (she never makes any noise while gag but has some great looks of desperation). During the final bank sequence, there are flashbacks of her time in the chair. Oh yeah, her feet were never bound and is wearing a green long sleeve shirt and dark slacks. I think that covers everything.
-------

Of course, *I* give Annette a whole bunch of bonus points for being a redhead. :-D

Still waiting for Mrs. Kent to add to Ms. O'Toole's DiDography.

According to the imdb, Annabella was born in 1964 & "Whispers in the Dark" was released in 1992. She was ~28.
