I'd agree absolutely with all that. Particularly annoying with Yahoo is that in their Terms of Service they say the posting and hosting of spam or foul language are major grounds for group deletion, yet some groups go on year after year consisting of very little but spam, some of it quite obscene.

Meanwhile, carefully moderated sites are deleted at the slightest whim. Even so, I'd advise founders of Yahoo groups to identify persistent spammers, those whose endlessly repeated ads clog up the Messages and Links sections of so many sites, and ban them from the outset. If nothing else, they tend to put bona fide members off, and they spam so many groups that yours will be just a drop in the ocean.

As anything to do with our interest is considered an "adult" site, check the membership list thoroughly and regularly, and chuck out any members who don't qualify. Equally conscientiously, weed spam and anything dangerously off-topic out of the Messages and Links sections. That may bring the risk of aggrieved ex-members raising complaints, on which Yahoo certainly do act, but at least you'll have done your best to abide by their terms. Trouble is, they delete without warning or, indeed, prior contact.

Smartgroups appear at first to offer an attractive deal, but if your group deals in any way with b*****e, they will, again without warning, slap an "adult" label on it, and impose restrictions that limit membership. You can't join unless you already know existing members who can send you an invitation, and the system is cumbersome as hell. To advertise the group, you need to post links in another system, e.g. Yahoo!

There are generous owners, such as Whitelord, who host certain kinds of site for free, but they can't handle video clips within their bandwidth allowance.

Word of warning:
A lot of the *owners* of the commercial clips on that list are going to be pissed when they see you are offering a ton of content swiped from their *members* sections.

I agree. You've got to be VERY careful here, man. The World Wide Web is not place to distribute copyrighted material.

Even the "Into the Blue" stuff is pushing the envelope, since it's not even released on DVD yet. Your enthusiam is welcome, but your headed down the wrong path here. Commercial scene posting/trading will get you, or your host, shut down in an instant.

Since your on GeoCities right now, your site will be deleted at some point, since the only thing Yahoo takes seriously is complaints. The commercial people will then e-mail your web host and they'll likely take you and the site your hosting it on down.

I'd stick with mainstream stuff.

My own rules (and Jay L's) are that we only distribute scenes that we've either captured directly ourselves, or been freely donated in original captured form on VHS / DVD-R
by contributors.
OFF LIMITS is any material simply downloaded / purchased from other sites.

I don't exactly see what the difference is, copyright wise. If you purchase a mainstream clip, or your "capture" it yourself, or it's donated to you... you still don't own it. Where your "rules" give you protection, if at all, is if you are selling the clips or not (selling someone else's property=bad). What REALLY protects you is that you are a really small fish in a really large pond, and no one is going to care. So keep going!

Lost - November 30 episode
In the TV Guide magazine November 28 - December 4 issue, page 4 has a small picture of Kate (wearing a white top w/ a blue denim jacket) bent over a countertop being arrested and handcuffed.

Page 30 had an article with the intriguing headline "Terror Among Us", but *that* was a false alarm...

west coast alert for Juana La Virgen
The scene a poster alerted us to last week kicked in today, those of you on the West Coast might still be able to catch it. It occurs in the last segment of the shot and shows a hot raven haired beauty sitting on the floor with her hands behind her and duct tape over her mouth. Few shots of her as the scene will continue tomorrow. The shows on telefutura at five with the scene probably occurring in the last fifteen minutes of the hour long show.

Limited mainstream material re-distributed is protected in the US under the 'Fair Use' provisions of legislation - we're merely giving a preview of the film/tv property much as would a television program such as 'Entertainment Tonight' does on network television (they ALSO don't have to ask for prior permission to broadcast brief snippets for a feature)
My point is that simply 'ripping off' other internet sites for material is just plain lazy, and bad etiquette.

Signy? some awards crap
Just cruised to a link for some awards from whitelord.com
What the hell is this? I see only one of 'our sites' listed and the rest commercial bondage stuff - is this a fixed contest? - I couldn't even log in to vote.
Checked the stats though, and sites like ours such as Fuzz, Kerhop, MJ's, JL's, Biff, etc.. aren't even listed as having received a SINGLE vote! - what a complete scam

Are you referring to "La Esposa Virgen", or is that a different Hispanic soap opera? What channel is it on Univision or Telemundo or something else?

----
1) I'm surmising that you're unaware that the Signy Awards have been run for several years now. It's not a "scam", and for a *Free* voting site, it's pretty well run, IMO. Frex, their voting registration helps to weed out multi-voters, which some "name" free polling sites do not.

2) I was able to log in and vote in the first two rounds.

3) The Signy poll creators are, of course, unable to get away from the survey bias of some sites' "campaigning" for their members to go to the site and vote.

Most free sites dealing with mainstream bondage don't see a need to campaign for an award of a "virtual trophy". I know of persons who shake their head at why some people get all worked up at the voting for a "virtual" award.

4) In case you hadn't noticed it, mainstream bondage appeals to a limited demographic. E.g, 99% of posts to Brian's Page appear to be from males. A number of commercial sites attract a more diverse demographic.

5) I think you're making the assumption that persons interested in mainstream bondage either didn't vote, or aren't interested in commercial bondage. While I voted for Brian's Page, I also voted for commercial sites as well.

Virtually all mainstream bondage sites are run by their owners as a hobby. Quite frankly, worthwhile commerical sites run by persons hoping to eke out a living from their website revenue probably need my Signy vote more.

I just consulted the voluminous Scene Database. So Ms. Tunney is bound and gagged until approximately the middle of the episode?

My main occupation involves statistics - I read the recorded 'votes'
in the initial round and don't need to look too far afield to smell something rotten. The sites I mentioned received ZERO!
This absolutely REEKS of a 'fix' statistically - and a not too subtle one at that, considering we're dealing with a similar demographic - if they were a little smarter they would have 'massaged' the votes to scatter a few here & there to make it look legitimate.
My conclusion - a self promotion bought & paid for by the participants.

The whole Signeys awards is off the mark again, this year they discarded half the votes in some categories and added extras to others, making it totally unreliable. So it's totally random and they freely admit it.
My site is listed, but I'm not participating in them.

This site is the best free site out there, bar none. I visit it more than any of the other sites. Without Brians Page, none of us would have started any DiD-sites of our own.

Bondage In Ad
For what it's worth, there's a picture of a person - I think it's a woman, although I can't be 100% certain, given the angle and lighting - bound and gagged in an ad for a bookstore from Singapore. Go to the address below; at the moment, it's at the top of the page, the third ad in a series for Acmabooks.

Also, for you fellas asking, I looked it up.

The scene starts approximately 20 min. into the episode. The opening scene after the commercial break is a close-up of Robin gagged so make sure you start recording before the commercial break ends. The scence concludes after the 35 min. mark after she whacks the bad guy with the same chair she was tied to.

If you click on the picture, you get a larger size.
It's either an unattractive woman with large biceps or a putz.

Wow. RAW/WWE on USA network, about one and a half hours in (the last 40 minutes) during the women's wrestling match, busty blonde women's champ Trish Stratus is kidnapped from ringside by two masked men.

She is seen after a commercial break roped around her chest and wrist tied in front to a folding metal chair. She is tape gagged with black gaffer's tape. She is taunted by a female rival and her two male partners.

Nice close-ups and angry glares by Trish whilst gagged. Excellent scene if you like tape gags and/or have been waiting for a Trish scene for years. Scene will likely repeat ob various wrestling programs thru out the week.

I will post a cap or two on my site within the hour.

While moderating a couple of mainstream-oriented Yahoo sites I inherited and one I created, I noticed that professed female membership, excluding cross-dressers (who for obvious reasons usually identify themselves as such) varied between about 12 and 24 percent.

I might have dismissed this as a lot of guys posing as women for a laugh if (a) I hadn't corresponded for a while with a few and found they were indeed female, and (b) about the same percentage of the women I've ever got to know at various places of work hadn't told me, unprompted, that they used to enjoy tie-up scenes in the TV dramas they watched as kids.

Whatever the true demographic may be, it's a lot bigger than 1 per cent. I get the impression so few women post here because they either don't see the point, or are reluctant to expose themselves to ridicule.

As both a bondage fan and wrestling mark, this was certainly the best of both worlds! The Joy Giovanni angle scene last year was good, but this one takes the taco!

Great DiD build up (abductionj; requisite commercial break to get the blood flowing; excellent close-ups; adequete lighting; decent delivery all combine to make a truly classic scene!

Whoever booked this angle deserves an Emmy in my book!
