Any idea how Lifetime repeats it's first-run movies? Lame gag or not I'd like to catch the scene at some point.

The damsel looks a little like Jennifer Love-Hewitt. But she was either 4 feet tall or the blonde was 6-6?

Re: Hostel
I saw Hostel on Sunday night. Don't bother. It's an absolutely horrible movie. There's only 2 brief scenes.

Scene 1: Japanese girl they briefly met at the hostel is seen sitting in a chair. Her hands are behind her back (presumably with handcuffs) and her ankles are in foot stocks. The psycho guy chops off her toes one by one.

Scene 2: Japanese friend of Japanese girl they met at the hostel is seen sitting in a chair. She's locked into the chair. Different psycho guy is blowtorching her face, more specifically the right eye. The "hero" comes in, shoots the psycho then tries to calm the blowtorched girl. Her eye is dangling from the socket so he feels he has to cut it off. He does and orange goo comes spewing out.

This is a really disgusting movie. I felt the urge to leave in the middle of it.

This is a torture movie and by that, I mean it is a TORTURE movie. Yes, there was some nice nudity that didn't make up for the disgusting nature of this movie. This movie felt more like a snuff film. Sensual torture and psychotic torture are 2 entirely different things with absolutely nothing in common.

I feel this is a very subjective opinion based on the viewer's inherent dislike of this kind of genre as a whole. This isn't "Skeleton Key". One problem with Hostel is how widely distributed and publicized it is. In it's defense, it IS a horrific exploitation film following the likes of many European and Japanese films of a similar nature. If you know the director's work, much of the gore and shock is to be taken with a sick twist of humour and is more or less for entertainment only.

As I've already said, for DiD, don't bother. The film is completely off-course with our hobby here. If you're a desensitized horror nut like I am though, it's worth a watch as I think it's one of the most entertaining movies I've gone out to a theatre to see in ages. The audience response is half the fun and dude, if you actually did get up and leave the theatre I would have simply enjoyed the film more for it's ability to do that to people, LOL!

Truth
I just don't anderstand why all the gripes, I thought it was pretty good.

So what if the OTM gag was fake looking? Almost all OTM gags are fake looking. If they used duct tape, thered be complaints about lack of originality.

Complaints about fake gags from people who just spent the last six months endlessly lamenting over a nonexistent dental floss gag from Sin City that would look 10 times as fake? What DOES it take to make you guys happy?

As the saying goes : You can't please all the people all the time.
And DID fans are no exception. We all have our own tastes (in DID's, gags etc) and no-one likes everything.

But be thankful that SOMEONE out there shares some of your tastes and that SOME of these people run sites (like this one) for free for your (kinky) pleasure.

I think it's the scapegoating that bothers me more.
If one scene doesn't pan out, they vilify they director or actors like they personally took a pair of scissors to the script and cut it out it just to spite them.

They could have done a bunch of other scenes before or since, but those are all forgotten among the namecalling and conspiracy theories over one small scene.

Most of them have no idea just WHO makes decisions that affect a chance for a scene, but most of the time it isn't the director or the actor. It's just the way things happen sometimes. Budget, time, priority, script, etc.

Or they spend years wishing for directors cuts and dvd box sets of films so awfully dull that even TV stations don't bother showing them.

I think people have been way too spoiled by the resources of the internet and websites. Occasionally a major reality check is needed for many of us, myself included.

Theres nothing wrong with wishful thinking and dreamming, but it really seems to intrude on people's reality way too much. Sometimes I feel more like a crackdealer than a didclipper.

Ghost Whisperer
Did someone mention a scene for JLH in last week's Ghost Whisperer? I seem to recall discssion that it wasn't a full treatment scene, but since she has zero (non animated) entries in the DB I am hoping whoever mentioned it will add the scene anyway.

Porté disparu, ep: "Duo de choc" is 1-800-Missing, ep: "Sea of Love" dubbed.

Gave it to the Major, along with some beer.
So a far better clip coming down the road

Looking for an invisible man
Hi,

I have a memory from my childhood of an exceptionally good “damsel” scene but I do not know the title of the program. It dated from the later 60s or early 70s and I am fairly sure that it was a film, although I suppose it is possible that it was an episode from a series.
The story concerned some sort of secret agent who could make himself invisible.
The first scene that I saw was of a man armed with a revolver being beaten up by a laughing invisible man. In a later scene, the agent, now visible, is sitting on a bed with a very attractive young woman and unbuttoning her blouse. When he gets to the third button, she produces a pistol and says, “That’s enough!” “Now that IS enough!” interjects a second female voice – and a woman colleague of the agent appears from off-camera pointing her own pistol at the girl on the bed.
The next thing that we see is the girl on the bed (who is an enemy agent) sitting bound and gagged while our hero does his disappearing act right in front of her. I think that he does this by taking off his clothes and his incredibly lifelike head mask to reveal…nothing.
The wide-eyed astonishment of the bound and gagged girl as she watches him disappear, and her distressed mumbling, is absolutely priceless! He facetiously reassures her by saying something like, “Relax honey, it’s only a little trick I learned at…(wherever).”
I still think that this is about the best scene that I have ever witnessed and I regret that I did not find out the name of the program at the time. Does this description jog anyone’s memory?

The lifelike head mask sounds like a ref to that old early 70's David McCallum series... Gemini Man or something like that.

Heh. Of course. There is an addictive aspect to it, as we all know...whenever something is addictive, rationality goes out the window to the addict seeking it. That's why all the bizarre speculations about anti-DID conspiracies are not surprising at all.

{Sigh} This is the place where someone unlurks & asks "has a damsel ever been bound and gagged in lederhosen?", someone else answers "Barbara Alyn Woods--'Honey, I Shrunk the Kids'--Episode: 'Honey, You Drained My Brain' (1.14))--dBase# 2782", someone asks for caps, Mr. Moderator chases them to the trading page, someone says "But what about Nikki Cox?", someone else suggests she has a "no lederhosen clause" in her Vegas contract, etc., etc.

Just locked in the trunk. But the Israeli agent is handcuffed to the guy agent if that's something you'd like to see. She slips her cuff and kicks the gun out of the hand of the guy whose holding them prisoner. First half hour.

After the girl's hands are untied, you can see some very visible rope burns on her wrist. Wonder if she did a lot of struggling that ended up on the cutting room floor?

By the way, that photo of Kate Beckinsale in the black gown with her arms raised & "chained" to an iron fence with Chanel jewelry? The one with the image link posted here a few days ago?

Fear Factor
Any heads up for West Coasters? It's the third 'Psycho' installment of the show tonight, and the description promises straitjackets.

Also, I couldn't find any listings in the database for either of the previous 'Psycho' Fear Factors - but I could have sworn that the series promos seemed to show a woman with her arms restrained above her in a shower, no?

Anyone with info please post, thanks!

Or possibly someone on the payroll of the makeup department applied makeup to her wrists to have the appearance of having struggled before they applied the ropes.

On second thought, I give up. Why waste my time?

We appreciate the effort, Van. That's why you the Man.

That last statement could explain why this episode I saw listed on a Vegas site never aired:

It's Bavarian Miss night at the Montecito, and Ed and Danny must find the psycho (guest star Ted Shackleford) holding Mary, Sam, Delinda and Nessa captive.

So do you have any photos of Nikki bound and gagged in lederhosen?
